As I already mentioned the states used to be countries, just like Prussia. So let’s get a bit into german history.
Lower Saxony/ Niedersachsen was formerly known as the Kingdom of Hanover/ Königreich Hannover. It was established in 1814 by the Congress of Vienna. From 1814 until 1837 the king of Hanover was simultaneously the king of the United Kingdom.
In 1866 Hanover fought together with Austria against Prussia, in the Austro-Prussian War. (In german we simply call it ‘den Deutschen Krieg’, basically ‘the German War’) After loosing Hanover became one of Prussias Provinces.
He is still mad at Prussia for that.
After World War Two Hanover was merged with Oldenburg, Brunswick/ Braunschweig, and Schaumburg-Lippe and became the state of Lower Saxony.
I need better old military clothing references.
I think that the english wikipedia articles are much better for research, since they always have that one box where you can click on for the previous form of a state, or the following. That’s much easier…. But the variation of names is kinda getting on my nerves. Why do towns even have different names in different languages?
I always had a thing for hand animated camera move and turn around…
I can’t tell exactly why…
probably cause it gives me the feeling I can manage everything and show exactly what I have in my head.
that can seems stupid but it makes me feel like, sculpting the animation more than drawing it.
DANG! Anyone know what these are from?
Credits Please cause these are awesome.
